Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Hindusthan, a convenient choice due to its proximity to Bhowanipur, I had the chance to explore the culinary offerings, which left me feeling ambivalent. The Kalash Indian Restaurant showcased a varied selection of authentic Indian dishes from across the country, including some delightful vegetarian options. The ambiance was warm, facilitating a relaxed dining experience, though the breakfast was surprisingly underwhelming, lacking zest in flavors expected of a five-star establishment. The staff were mostly friendly, responding promptly to requests. I did appreciate the laundry service, which saved me due to the lack of sun in my room. It was disappointing that the water issues persisted in multiple rooms, which dampened my overall experience. While the location is a plus, the hotel itself seems in need of a renovation to truly meet its prestigious reputation.
